BYU crushed the Glendale Raptors 2nd side 101-13 in a non-conference match
Saturday, as the Cougars look ahead to a rematch with the St. Mary's team
that beat them in Moraga, Calif. in February.
"Overall, I thought it was a good performance," BYU Head Coach David Smyth said in the team's official game report. "From a structural perspective the boys did better than they have done in the past few games."
Captain Kyle Sumsion set up Will Taylor for the opening try and that started a run of six tries in the first half while Glendale managed two penalty kicks.
"We play our best rugby when we're having fun and today we had fun," said flyhalf Jonathan Linehan. "Even though it was wet and bad conditions we still had so much fun together and played BYU rugby."
Twelve different players scored for the Cougars, who host St. Mary's in Provo next week.
