The spring season is getting into full swing as a number of the top teams are finally getting started. All of the favorites won but there were a couple of intriguing results.
Both St. Mary’s and Cal won big and remain in the top spots. While third ranked Life was idle, BYU played a fairly close game with Grand Canyon. A rocky start put GCU in an early 19-0 hole but the Arizona school ended up playing the rest of the game tight, losing 53-22. BYU usually runs up the points against teams at this point in the season so its more than a respectable result for a team in its first year in DIA. GCU moves up one spot to 16.
Lindenwood traveled to Washington to play Central Washington and came away with a 27-15 win. CWU was in it the whole way and moves up a spot to 12 despite losing.
UC-Davis defeated Cal Poly 33-27. These two schools are fairly big rivals but the closer than expected game with the unranked team sees Davis fall one spot to 22.
