Two games highlighted the movement in this weeks ranking. With limited action taking place due to Easter weekend, only Army and Clemson improved their standing.

Army battled Navy in a battle of service academies. Army came away with a 27-22 victory in a back and fourth affair. Army created a bit of a quagmire for the ranking committee, as all three service academies went 1-1 in the Commander-In-Chief rivalry. Air Force beat Army in the fall but lost to Navy. Navy handily beat Air Force but lost to Army. Taking into account the body of work of both Army and Navy, Rugby Today determined that Navy still holds the edge despite losing this past weekend. Thus, Navy drops one spot to number 10 and Army jumps up from 14th to 11th. UCLA bumps up one spot to number nine.

The other match that saw movement was between Wheeling Jesuit and Clemson. The teams were 22nd and 25th respectively, in last week’s rankings and the game was very even. Clemson won 35-31 moving the Tigers up four spots ahead of Wheeling.

The only other game between ranked teams was between Cal and Utah. Cal dispatched the Utes 46-19. The Utes, however, did not drop due to the tough opponent in the Golden Bears.
