The Post season has started and the DI rankings will certainly be tested. The Penn Mutual Varsity Cup provided no major upsets that effect our rankings as all of the higher ranked Varsity Cup teams took care of business.

Of the top four, BYU was the only team in action. The Cougars dismantled Colorado State in the DIA playoffs. BYU remains at number two while the Rams move down to number 20.

Arkansas State, Penn State and Army all won their respective Varsity Cup games in comfortable fashion. The Clemson, Dartmouth game proved to be the most competitive match of the first round, and actually vindicated our rankings. The Tigers were ranked one spot ahead of Dartmouth and came out on top 36-29.

The most intriguing game of the weekend was probably the friendly between Indiana and Notre Dame College. The Falcons defeated Indiana in the fall although Indiana was without Bryce Campbell. NDC had not played a 15s game all spring and were in a tight game with the Hoosiers for 60 plus minutes on Saturday. The Falcons suffer from a lack of action this spring. Supposedly, however, NDC will be moving to DIA next fall and will have a more consistent schedule with the top teams in the country.

Davenport continues to be an incredibly hard to team to rank. The Panthers went winless in the DIA Mid-South but were competitive in every game. Davenport sits at 17 overall. It is hard to gauge how good the Panthers really are. Playing a few of the west coast teams would give major insight for the rankings.
