There was significant movement in the DII Rankings this week. One top 10 team lost and a few others played tight games against conference opponents.

UNC-Charlotte made tremendous noise this weekend by knocking off perennial conference foe Furman 29-16. The Paladins were ranked number two prior to this week and drop to number five as a result of the loss. The 49ers have been steadily improving over the last couple of years and with the win prove they are top ten material. They slot in at number four.

After losing to North Dakota State a few weeks ago, Duluth struggled with Mankato. The Fighting Penguins won the game 12-7 but drop to number seven.

Illinois State played a nail biter with Marquette, with ISU barely squeaking out a 22-21 victory. The Golden Eagles are in uncharted territory for them but have impressed all season. They move up to number 12 and ISU drops to 11 overall.

The rest of the rankings remain relatively unchanged. However, Hartford appears to have forfeited their match against WPI and as a result fall out of the rankings. Quinnipiac, who tied Coast Guard earlier this year and have been blitzing the rest of the field come into the rankings for the first time.
