The penultimate DII rankings have some changes after a big weekend of action. The round of sixteen and elite eight took place prior to Thanksgiving and four of the DII titans made it into this weeks final four. Minnesota-Duluth and UW-Whitewater remain at one and two respectively after remaining undefeated. Towson and Salisbury both won their respective regions and slot into 3rd and 4th. For most of the season, we had VMI slotted in at number three but a 27-19 loss to Salisbury drops the Military school to the 9th spot.

Rowan jumps up from the 12th spot to fifth after an impressive win over Umass-Lowell and a tough 44-41 loss to Towson. Rowan put itself ina deep first half whole, trailing 27-0 at the break. The New Jersey scool battled back in the second half to take a 29-27 lead but ultimately fell in a roller coaster of a game.

Rhode Island and Lindenwood-Belleville both lost on sunday albeit to the top two ranked teams. URI gave Whitewater its toughest game of the seasons in a 31-21 so despite a loss, URI moves up. Lindenwood Belleville struggled against the defending National Champs to the tune of a 46-3 game. Since Grand Valley State lost by a lesser scoreline (24-3), the Midwest school moves ahead of the Lynx.

Several teams move up due to teams in their conferences excelling. With two Capital Conference teams in the final four, Georgetown moves up three spots. Vermont, who lost a close game to URI to end conference play moves up two spots as well.

The final rankings will be out next week after the DII fall championship culminate over the weekend.
