UW-Whitewater is nearly as favored in this bracket as Duluth is in its. The Warhawks have been to two of the last four Final Fours, winning it all in 2011. Throw history out and look at this year, if you want. Whitewater has the highest point total of any playoff team, having racked up 769 in WIIL play. That’s more than any two other teams in the Kingston region combined.
Vermont comes from a conference, New England, which has provided a National Champion before. That can't be said for Bentley or Oswego, though Bentley's Rugby Northeast has been getting more and more competitive. The Catamounts, however, are fresh off a massive loss. Even if the bench was cleared and the starters were rested in that conference finale, it hasn't done anything for Vermont's momentum going into the Sweet 16.
