Two close games market the women's DI college Round of 16 games in Princeton, as Penn State held off hosts Princeton 22-5 and Navy won in dramatic fashion of rivals Army.
Penn State defeated Princeton 22-5, but the game was in doubt for much of the morning. Princeton scored the first points just a few minutes before halftime, with wing Devan Kreisberg putting her side up 5-0. It was still 5-0 Princeton well into the second half before lock Caitlin Prendergast's try tied the game up.
Flyhalf Kasey Ferlic also scored for Penn State, but with ten minutes to go the score was only 10-5, and it was anyone's game. Penn State made it their's with three tries in the final seven minutes.

Meanwhile it was a classic Army v. Navy match in the other Round of 16 game.
The two teams traded scores all through the first half, and went into the
break with the defending champs Army up 13-10.
The scoring heroines from the 2011 national final, Jess Sexauer and Annie Lee, were much in evidence in this game, and two tries from each put Army up 20-10 with 20 minutes to go.
But Navy figured it out in the final quarter, with tries from center Kacey
Lipscomb, scrumhalf Brooke Amoroso, and wing Julia Hardgrove. Hardgrove's
came with a minute to go, and won the game for Navy.
The Midshipmen take on Penn State Sunday.
Tries: Watson, Paar, Lipscomb, Amoroso, Hardgrove
Tries: Sexauer 2, Lee 2
