Women's World Cup 2017- The eighth WRWC tournament begins this Wednesday, August 9 in Dublin, Ireland. For the record, the Irish RFU was the only union to bid for the tournament. Preliminary games will be played in two venues in Dublin, while the semis and finals will be in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

August 13, Sunday vs. Spain at 9:45 a.m.
August 17, Thursday vs. England at 9:30 a.m.
Three pools of four teams each. Four points for a win and two points for a draw. Also, the usual awarding of bonus points. The winner of each pool, and the team with the next highest points, advance to the semifinals on August 22nd. The finals are scheduled for Saturday, August 26. There are also playoffs to rank the third through the 12th team.
USA's Phaidra Knight Retires - With 35 caps, many international Test matches, and WRWC tournaments, Phaidra Knight has decided to retire from international competition. Best wishes to Knight in her rugby future.
