CANADIAN U18 SQUAD

USA Women Fall to New Zealand- In the Women's Super Rugby Series contested in San Diego among five nations (USA, Canada, France, England, and New Zealand), the Eagles lost their second match, a shutout by New Zealand 33-0. 

The USA previously lost to England 38-5 in the opening match.  The point totals to-date are 5-71, the Eagles failing to score from a tepid offense.

Next up is Canada on July 10th; the Canadians surprised France 36-19 in their bid to finish third behind the number one ranked Black Ferns and the number two placed Red Roses.

MLR Championship Television Ratings- The CBS network aired the final of Major League Rugby's second season, the championship match of the San Diego Legion versus the Seattle Seawolves. The data indicate that the afternoon broadcast generated a total of 510,000 viewers and a .32 household rating. This contrasted favorably with Major League Lacrosse's lower total.  Data follow of three of the minor interest sports television broadcasts:

USA Boys U18 Sevens to Meet Canadian U18s- Ontario, Canada, will welcome the U18 Can-Am Sevens Tournament July 11 to July 13. The games will be aired live on Rugby Ontario’s Facebook page. Twenty-four Boys All-American athletes have been named to the squad. The USA splits into two sides, the Stars and the Stripes, to play two Canadian teams, the Red and the White.
