USA versus Ireland - This important international Test match for the Eagles - sponsored as Emirates Airlines Summer Series - is scheduled for Saturday, June 10, at Red Bull Stadium, Harrison, New Jersey. Kick off is 5 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on NBC Sports Network. The attendance so far indicates a large crowd, perhaps a sell out of 20,000, as the New York Metropolitan area welcomes back international rugby for the first occasion since the Churchill Cup games of many years ago, also held at Red Bull, when the Eagles, Canada, Russia, and a lesser England fifteen played. It's an easy ride out from Manhattan by PATH trains, which stop at Harrison. Ireland are without some top players who are competing in New Zealand for the Lions.
Pools Set for Women's Sevens Final - The last event of the HSBC World Rugby Women's Sevens Series will take place June 24 in Clermont-Ferrand, France. The Eagles will play in the same pool with New Zealand, Japan, and Ireland. It's the team's last chance to move up the standings for the 2016-2017 season that started in Dubai. The Black Ferns lead the series and have all but clinched the title.
