Perry Baker in the News: Sevens speedster Perry Baker, he of the try line to try line tries, is reaping the deserved publicity that comes from stardom. In the past two-weeks, Baker appeared on an AOL Sports to discuss training for the August Rio Olympics, the broadcast sponsored by Team Budweiser. ( In addition, Baker was featured in a recent Men’s Fitness article.  Good publicity for rugby.

NSCRO Player of the Month: Penn Mutual's NSCRO player of the month is Jeremy Misailegalu from New Mexico Highlands University after his breakout performance at the College Rugby Championship in June when his college captured their second title.

Utah Rugby Starts Touch Rugby League: Rugby Utah and USA Touch joined forces to kick-off a Touch Rugby League. There will be divisions for the Men’s Elite and Corporate Co-Ed teams.  Matches kicked-off July 14th at Lehi’s Xango Field, Salt Lake City for both divisions. This year’s champion in the Men’s Elite Division will gain a berth to the USA Touch National Championships to be held in Orlando, October 13th-15th.
