Six Nations Finale- The exciting end to 2019's championship will take place this Saturday with three teams in contention for the title. They key game will be Wales (4-0, ranked 3rd) hosting Ireland (3-1, ranked 2nd) in Principality Stadium.
A Wales victory ensures the crown plus a Grand Slam result (e.g.; a clean slate beating the other five nations). Ireland are 11-8-1 versus Wales in the nineteen years of the Six Nations' existence (Italy joined in 2000). Wales have ceded 58-points and a mere six tries in the prior four contests.
At Twickenham, England (3-1, ranked 4th) take on Scotland (1-3, ranked 7th) in the Calcutta Cup trophy game. Since 2000, the Red Roses have won all nine-matches at Twickenham against the Scots.
The final match will see Italy (0-4, ranked 14) welcome France (1-3, ranked 8th). A loss by the Azzurri would represent the 14th wooden spoon (last place) in the past twenty-years of their entry into the competition.
Women- England (4-0) will be victorious and win the title. France at 3-1 are favored over Italy.
Major League Rugby - The seventh week of competition occurs this weekend. The league received good publicity from an article in the NY Times (see photo above). Only three-points separate the top five fifteens.
