As 2012 comes to a close, we'll be running a series of Top 12 of 2012 lists, featuring some of the top photos, players, events and bits of news from the last year. RUGBYMag's official 2012 Awards are chronicled in our November issue.

For our first list, we look back at the top 12 most read stories of 2012. They all focus on some of the biggest changes and events of the year. We saw a new 15s Eagles coach take the helm in the spring, and that story takes the top billing. We saw the college restructure and reshuffle intensify, and a couple of our top stories surround that issue.

Interestingly, the Collegiate Rugby Championship Qualifier bracket at the Las Vegas Invitational was the subject of three of our top 12 stories. USA Sevens also had a story make the list, making the week rugby takes over Las Vegas in February the subject of one-third of our most-read write-ups.

Millions have now seen Carlin Isles' viral highlight tape on YouTube, and our profile of him during the club 7s season is one of the most-read stories of the year.
