Brian Doyle has already been ruled out, as the NYAC lock forward damaged his rotator cuff and will not be able to play. It is likely that Inaki Basauri will start in his place, although whether Basauri plays lock or Scott LaValla is a question.

Lock Graham Harriman is the logical man to then come into the subs bench as cover at second row.

Meanwhile, there is a possibility Eagles Head Coach Mike Tolkin will look at other options in the back row, perhaps giving a start to Peter Dahl after two for John Quill.

Center Paul Emerick was pulled from Saturday's game against Tonga, and not for injury. That certainly opens up questions on how Tolkin will choose his midfield next week.

Chris Wyles is expected back for the Eagles at fullback. Zach Pangelinan might have been in the mix for a start at wing, but the question remains whether Taku Ngwenya is a possibility. Ngwenya's problems in being available for the USA the last two matches stemmed from his inability to get a visa for entry into the UK. Romania is not the United Kingdom, and therefore, if he can travel freely there, Ngwenya might make it into a USA jersey for the first time in over a year.
