arrived in is set to arrive in Glasgow
Thursday soon and is set to join the Warriors pending a
fitness test - a team were USA 7s team teammate Folau Niua has already
logged his first few minutes. (Turns out Isles still is waiting on his
visa. -AG )
Isles spoke to Michael Lamont and Jeremy Bone of the Glasgow Warriors about his arrival.
"I spoke to Folau about the move and he said everyone is treating him really well, so that's good to know," said the USA 7s team start, who is expected to be available for 7s duty during his contract with Glasgow.
Isles was quick to say nice things about the people and country of Scotland. But he faces a challenge, as he has not played much 15s - Isles only started playing rugby two years ago, and then almost exclusively 7s.
"It's very exciting to be moving to the 15-a-side game. It's a lot different to sevens but I want to work hard and do everything I can to succeed," said Isles, who will be working closely with former Scottish and British & Irish Lion star Grego Townsend. "I'm up for the challenge ... the biggest thing will be getting used to everything such as the training, the physicality of the game and the climate, but I'm a driven and dedicated person, so I'm sure I'll be able to cope with all of those things."
Isles said he wants to break into the USA 15s team squad to play in the Rugby World Cup.
