Since their disastrous quarterfinal exit from the 2015 Rugby World Cup, Ireland have a 9-7-1 Test match record. This includes notable victories against New Zealand and England, where, both times, the Irish halted their opponents' record tying, eighteen-game Test win streak.

Eleven Irish players are with the Irish and British Lions in New Zealand: props Jack McGrath and Tadhg Furlong, hooker Rory Best, second row Iain Henderson, back rows C.J. Stander, Sean O'Brien and Peter O'Mahony, scrum-half Conor Murray, fly-half Johnny Sexton, and centers Robbie Henshaw and Jared Payne.

Ireland historically are 8-0 against the USA, starting with the first contest in 1994 and continuing up to 2013 when the fifteens last met In Houston. That represented the series closest game with Ireland winning 15-12.

Today at 5 p.m. USA vs. Ireland at Red Bull Stadium, Harrison, NJ. - Broadcast by NBC Sports.
