USA Rugby confirmed Wednesday what many in the American rugby community have known for some time, that BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston, Texas would host USA vs. Scotland next June. The game is slated for June 7, 2014.

“For the past two years we have enjoyed the incredible atmosphere of Houston and BBVA Compass Stadium,” said USA Rugby CEO and President of Rugby Operations Nigel Melville in a press release.

“Following the success of our match against Italy in 2012, and the near-sellout crowd who witnessed a close match against Ireland this past summer, I am delighted to announce the Eagles’ return to BBVA Compass Stadium on June 7, 2014, with yet another highly-anticipated matchup with Scotland.”

The Eagles last played Scotland at the 2003 Rugby World Cup. Scotland won 39-15.

BBVA Compass is home to the two largest crowds to ever take in a single 15s rugby game in American soil.
