Utah's Tonata Lauti in a tackle. Ian Muir photo

Been a crazy few weeks since our last ranking, with upsets and notable scalps being claimed. It's only going to continue to heat up over the coming weeks. In order to explain the movement, we'll give you a reason for each team moving up and each team moving down.

Central Washington - The Wildcats are crushing everything in their path. Granted, they're in a weak competition.

Army - Black Knights sit dormant, but their fall was big enough to continue to feast on.

Utah - A couple of big early losses were concerning, but the 38-0 blanking of UCLA on the Bruins' home turf, fortified by UCLA's close loss to Cal, was equally massive. Utah versus Cal this weekend has epic potential.

Davenport - The Panthers are still adjusting to a new(ish) coaching setup. While they endured a tough spring last year, they did it without one of the best players in America., JP Eloff. The top flyhalf in the country is back making Davenport dangerous. They did lose to Penn State in the fall, but that was a long time ago at this point. And the Panthers finished the fall on a nice little run.

Cal Poly - A win over San Diego State is good for a bump.

Arizona State - Big win over rival Arizona.

Colorado State - The Rams also feast on a win over Arizona.

Texas A&M - Aggies benefit from convincing shutout of Baylor and a win over rival Texas.

Arkansas State - Loss to Davenport. Red Wolves working through som injuries, but that's part of the game.

Kutztown, Air Force, Lindenwood, Penn State, Navy - With UCLA falling out of the top 10 and Davenport and Utah moving in, these guys had to make room.

UCLA - Normally, a six-point loss to Cal would be reason to move up. But couple that result with a blowout at the hands of Utah, and the Bruins have to slide.

Clemson - Back-to-back losses to Life and Navy.

Dartmouth, Bowling Green - Making room for Arizona State

Arizona - Losses to Arizona State, Colorado State and Cal were troubling. A win over Wyoming has the Wildcats clinging to 25.

Washington - A loss to Oregon is too much to keep the Huskies in the mix.
