Nearly every ranked team in DII played this weekend. Most teams won comfortably, but a couple of games bore interesting results and effected our rankings.

The titans of Northern Lights met for the first time this season. North Dakota State blanked Minnesota-Duluth 25-0 and moves in front of the Fighting Penguins. Coming into the weekend the teams were back-to-back in the rankings, and NDSU proved itself a top-four team. The Fighting Penguins had not lost a regular season in years, and the rest of the country is now on notice.

Out west, Montana State made noise with a 58-5 victory over Colorado School of the Mines. Mines was ranked 11 coming into the weekend and falls out as a result of the loss. Montana State slots in at 17.

One other game featured a matchup between ranked teams. Middlebury topped Providence comfortably, 39-10.
