SFGG moved to 6-2 in Pacific Rugby Premiership action with a 41-24 defeat of Belmont Shore Saturday at Ray Sheeran Field on Treasure Island in San Francisco.

Paced by two early tries from Samisoni Pone, SFGG took an early 14-0 lead. But Belmont Shore kept pecking away, with lock Sam Lilley scoring two tries. His second pulled Shore within nine at 26-17.

But Golden Gate got a penalty kick from Volney Rouse moments after that try, and quickly followed with tries from wing Andre Coguillard and Rouse himself to put the game to bed.

Rouse scored 16 points on the day.

Belmont Shore falls to 4-4.
