The DI Rankings are winding down, but it is still hard to gauge teams that will be participating in various competitions. There is the DIAA playoffs, the Bowl Series, conference championships and a few other one off games. Nevertheless, we try our best.
The top 13 didn’t see any movement even with a big Army win over Air Force. Army was expected to win, but not by the margin that they did. Army does not move up, but Air Force moves down three spots to number 19.
Bowling Green continues to move up, routing the MAC competition to its astounding 36th consecutive conference title. It moves up to number 22.
Kutztown gave Penn State a good run but ultimately fell to the Nittany Lions. Penn State capped off its undefeated season and remains at number six.
A couple of teams that are on the radar are worth mentioning. Lindenwood-Belleville was in a tough game with Notre Dame College over the weekend. It was a three point game deep into the second half. Watch out for the Lynx.
Notre dame is on the rise as well. After playing Navy tough earlier this year, the Irish gave Davenport a tough 27-15 game. A marquee win is not far off for Notre Dame.
