Furman with ball against ECU. Deborah Shue Miller photo

The DII rankings remain relatively unchanged except for a few Southern Conference teams making their way into the rankings. The Southern Conference appears to be one of the strongest in the country, and a pair of undefeated teams breaks into the Top 25.

UNC-Wilmington and Furman continue to dominate their respective divisions and stick at 6th and 12th respectively. Coastal Carolina edged the Citadel 19-12 so Coastal remains right behind Furman at 13th with an undefeated record. The Citadel drops to 24th behind UNC-Charlotte and Appalachian State. Both schools are undefeated in Southern play and will square off next weekend. ECU lost to the Citadel earlier this year and drops out of the rankings despite winning last weekend.

Norwich continues to take the NECRC by storm, knocking off Vermont to move to 3-0. Vermont drops from 12th to 15th with its second loss of conference play.

RPI out of the Tri-State is the other team that drops out of our rankings. The Engineers won a close game over a traditionally weaker Hofstra squad.
