For several Eagles, Saturday will be their first to play, start or be on the bench for a tier one test.

“It’s a great opportunity. It’s a great challenge. I’m really looking forward to it,” said Toby L’Estrange, who’s slated to start at flyhalf. “It’s something you’ve wanted to do your whole life, get the opportunity to play these sort of teams, so can’t wait for it.”

L’Estrange grew up in Australia, watching the Irish team on television and paying attention to them as a rugby fan. Adam Siddall, who will be on the bench Saturday, did the same from New Zealand, where he grew up. He’s hoping he gets a chance to rip off the warm ups and play against the Irish.

“That would be absolutely amazing,” Siddall said. “I’d love to be on the field if I could.”

And rest assured Seamus Kelly, though American born, is relishing that his first-ever start as an Eagle is coming against Ireland. His name is, after all, Seamus Kelly.
