Head Coach Al Caravelli is expected to name the players below, but since several played this weekend or were in the 15s camp, it is possible one or two might be held out due to injury. Caravelli is, of course, hoping that won’t happen.

He has already had some bad news, as Zach Pangelinan broke his ankle on Tuesday and will not attend.

The rest of the group of players invited to camp is (positions listed are 7s positions):
Matt Hawkins
Todd Clever
Mile Craigwell
Cameron Dolan
Paul Emerick
Colin Hawley
Nu’u Punimata
Zack Test
Marco Barnard
Peter Tiberio
Tai Enosa
Nese Malifa
Shalom Suniula
Mile Pulu
Mike Palefau
Roland Suniula
Rocco Mauer
Justin Boyd

Of note in this group: Nu’u Punimata and Rocco Mauer are coming back from injury. Punimata has not played any competitive rugby since being injured in Las Vegas in February. Mauer is back on the field and playing for Bowling Green.

Also back from injury is Mile Pulu, who has been playing regularly for SFGG.

Dolan is a brand new camp attendee. He is a highly-regarded loose forward at Life University, and is mobile and tough and could be a real find. Mike Palefau, as written about on, has been away from the USA 7s team for several years, but has been playing regularly.

This has to be one of the most competitive camps for the USA 7s team, with 17 players with USA experience.
