USA center Andrew Suniula might be playing 7s this summer, but this fall he will leave Chicago for the quieter, slower pace of Cornwall, England.
Suniula signed with the Cornish Pirates of the RFU Championship in England this spring and will join them this fall, most likely after the World Cup.
Suniula was scouted by the Pirates during the USA's Fall tour.
"I was able to meet the coaches in England during the Churchill Cup," Suniula told RUGBYMag.com. "It was a good meeting, and I am looking forward to heading over there and contributing to the club."
Suniula said he is expecting something of a culture shock when shifting from the bustle of Chicago to the quieter world of Southwestern England.
"Dealing with that comes with the territory," said Suniula, the oldest of three brothers who have played for the USA in 15s or 7s. "I expect a lot of bus rides. I took a year off last year moving to Chicago from Australia. I have really enjoyed my time here, but it's time to get going and make the move."
