The fact that USA Head Coach Eddie O'Sullivan picked Wyles for the World Cup despite the fullback/center not having played due to an ankle injury implies Wyles will be ready at least at some point.
Now sources within the squad say Wyles is on the mend and on schedule to play against Ireland September 11. He is off the crutches and walking around, and should be able to join training fully soon.
His health is a big boost to the Eagles which still seems to be looking for the right midfield combination. Wyles could slot in at outside center, where he finished his season with Saracens. His presence is also key because he is considered one of the team's goalkickers; if Wyles is healthy and able to kick for points, could O'Sullivan then be looking at a change at flyhalf?
