Last weekend, continued two other European championship matches, the RBS Six Nations Women's event, and the second tier Men's European Championship.


England and Ireland prevailed to go 4-0 and to set up the grand finale in two weeks for the 2017 Six Nations' title. England had an easy time thumping Scotland 64-0 in a shutout. Ireland narrowly beat Wales 12-7.  Elsewhere, France beat winless Italy 28-5.

England are the reigning Women's World Rugby champions, winning the crown in 2014 in Paris defeating Canada. Ireland enjoyed the upset of that competition beating favored New Zealand in pool play.

Men's European

Georgia continue to dominate this event, going 4-0 with only Romania to beat in the final match. Georgia defeated Russia 28-14 while Romania beat Belgium 33-17. Spain crushed German hopes 32-15.

Of note is the wide spread difference of attendance among the six countries. Georgia average 27,500 fans as compared to second highest Spain 7,500.

Germany started out the season with a historic upset against Romania but have been flat since.
