The third round for the World Rugby Pacific Nation’s Cup saw Samoa and Fiji qualify for the final to be played August 3 in Burnaby, Canada.
Samoa eked out a nail biter win against a tough Canadian XV 21-20 on a try at full-time by Sakaria Taulafo.
Fiji barely managed to hold on (13 men at the end) against Japan, winning 27-22. Both Fiji and Samoa ended with the same 2 wins, 1 draw, and no loss record for 11-points.
The biggest loss of the day was the USA going down 33-19 to Tonga.
