New Zealand won the inaugural Vancouver 7s, defeating South Africa in the Cup final 19-14. Australia beat Fiji 19-12 to take third place. Samoa defeated the USA 31-19 for the Plate. Host Canada escaped France 19-17 for the Bowl, and finally, Russia garnered a win 17-10 against Portugal for the Shield.
Canada enjoyed a fine tournament with an upset pool win against Australia. England continue to underperform, taking home no trophy and generating only five points.
The new point standings for the leadings teams are as follow:

So far, after six events, New Zealand have won three (Wellington, Sydney, Vancouver), while Fiji have two victories (Dubai and Las Vegas), and one for South Africa (Capetown).
The HSBC World Rugby Sevens moves to Hong Kong, and then first timer Singapore, in April. The Hong Kong venue is from April 8 to April 10.
