The fourth round of the Men’s Six Nations championship takes place this weekend. Undefeated Ireland must play away at Wales, in what all consider the Match of the Day.
The Irish ride an unbeaten streak, dating back to the 2014’s Six Nations loss to England. UK odds makers have Ireland 4/6 and Wales 6/5, extra emphasis placed on the Welsh crowd cheering the national team in Cardiff. An Irish victory would probably assure its second in a row Six Nations crown.
At Twickenham, the annual Calcutta Cup features England hosting Scotland, the latter without a win in the first three contests. Although the Scots have played well in spurts, they have not been able to gain a victory in 2015. They lost to France 15-8, to Wales 26-23, and to Italy 22-19.
Italy welcome France in the Garibaldi Cup, played annually between these nations. The Italians are coming off a win over Scotland, while Les Bleus were defeated at home by Wales last week. The French have not demonstrated any of the flair from past seasons, and will not have an easy time advancing in the Rugby World Cup in a pool that includes Ireland and Italy
