The attendance for Sunday's action at the USA 7s has been confirmed at 24,917. This is up about 200 from the same day in 2013.

The attendance on Sunday ranks it as the 4th-most-attended single day of rugby in American rugby history, ranking behind only the Saturday figures for the USA 7s in 2012, 2013, and 2014.

The total attendance for the weekend was 68,608, just about 2% more than in 2013.

Organizers said they were extremely happy with the figures, expecting, as they were, that the earlier time for the tournament, and consequent reduction in the number of LVI teams, and combined also with the difficult travel for fans in the East, would all mean attendance would drop.

It increased slightly, and that, said United World Sports sources, was reason for celebration.
