With Tuesday's offiicial announcement of the Nov. 1 match between the USA and New Zealand at Soldier Field in Chicago, the American rugby community is giddy. USA Rugby and others have been active on social media all day talking about the event, and we've gathered some of the best bits here.
With its promo video, USA Rugby has billed the meeting as the "Home of the Brave" versus the "Land of the Warriors":
Eagle forward Lou Stanfill and All Black counterpart Liam Messam were in
Chicago for the day's press conference and to shoot promotional photos for
the event. Here's a vine of them bidding adieu until November:

Rugby's chief commercial officer, Jon Persch, tweeted a photo of a jersey
custom-made for Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel, who was on hand for Tuesday's
press conference.
Mike Moore, the New Zealand ambassador to the United States, tweeted a picture of Frank Gard, the American captain in the USA's first game against the All Blacks.
As Moore pointed out, Gard died in WWI, and Soldier Field is a memorial to
fallen soldiers, making it a fitting venue for the third USA vs. New
Zealand game on American soil. Moore also tweeted that 13 All Blacks died
in WWI.
