Highlights from Army v. Kutztown, March 24.

Kutztown scored five tries to Army's four, but the Black Knights got two conversions and two penalties from Will Holder, while the Bears struggled in the kicking department, leaving Army with a 30-25 victory.

KU Head Coach Gregg Jones was pleased with his team's overall performance.

"We were excited to test some of our freshmen," he said. "They embraced the challenge and had a good day of rugby. The biggest change from last weekend was the team stayed within the planned system."

Freshman flankers Cap Hiuzenga and Zach French, freshman center Bob Stortz and freshman fullback Devon Somma all played well for Kutztown.

"I am very proud of the team's improvement from last week," added Jones. "Yes, we are frustrated about the final score but we played to the best of our ability and will continue to build from here."

Meanwhile Army showed some excellent flashes. Their forwards were quick and outside center Karl Crist seemed to be in the middle of the action. Kyle Ulses scored three tries, two of which were directly related to the good work of the Army midfield of Crist and Drake Fleming.
